I personally pack my items in a spotlessly clean and smoke free environment being very careful to ensure you will receive a robust and clean package that will not endanger your health in any way especially of the pandemic. From the many vintage sailplane kits I have in my personal collection this is definitely in the top of my list a truly beautiful classic two meter design by famous kit producer Graupner it really reflects the outmost care in yesteryear kit preparation and production, mainly designed for thermal flying but it also can do very well in light slope conditions. I have bought my Amigo ll decades ago at a small hobby shop in my home town Graupner kits where already earning a good reputation for extremely high quality but where also quite expensive compared to other kits of the time but it was so lovely that I made the decision to get it despite the high price. When back at home and opened the box my decision was greatly justified as i was truly ecstatic of the very high quality components I had seen many kits but to that date have never seen such careful and detailed parts. All balsa and plywood die cut pieces where top quality and cleanly cut/ individually numbered with ink that was clean and not saturated the wood. A rarity in printed/ numbered parts used in kits of that era. Various sticks/spars where straight grained wood with trailing edges etc. Sheet balsa was of contest quality balsa ensuring the highest strength to weigh ratio. Accessories where bagged and looked very clean. Plans were the most detailed I have ever seen with the smallest detail clearly shown definitely a master draftsman drew up these plans, also present was a separate plan depicting the installation of the radio gear. Quality heavy duty tissue was included to cover the model. Transparent canopy was cleanly molded but slightly of thinner material then I desired, but perfectly good for the purpose intended as it was to be glued all along its perimeterthis slight negative point was aptly compensated by the top quality decals. Needless to say I was truly enthusiastic about my Amigo ll and had the intension of carefully. Building it so waited for the appropriate time window with enough available time to spend as it really deserved it but this time never came as many projects always got in the way! So I just had it carefully stored all this time, at a low humidity and dark room environment, also had it entirely covered in thin plastic film so the kit was very well preserved almost as good as the day I initially bought it. Highly preserved with all original parts present. Wood of highest qualityall pieces present and without discoloration or flaws. Plans/decals are excellently preserved without any discoloration or flaws. Accessories are present/bagged/sealed without oxidation marks. Overall kit quality condition is almost as the day it was produced. When I initially bought it the hobby shop owner had used clear tape to temporarily fix the kit cardboard top cover on the bottom part to prevent. This was unfortunately a common practice at that time with a lot hobby shops doing this when various kits where exhibited on their showroom shelves. When this taped was subsequently removed it tore some of the printed/color of the cardboard box, as an professional artist I later restored these box flaws to the best of my abilities but still they are present this is the only flaw of the kit. I have taken twelve detailed photos so you can judge the overall quality, if you need any details clarified I can gladly send more overall I would rate mi Amigo ll kit as a very highly preserved kit and apart from the box flaws it could definitely be a prize in any serious collector showroom. First all internal wood/accessories components will be protected from moving around by the use of many pieces of bubble wrap. Entire kit will be wrapped in a layer of thin plastic foil… This serves as a protection from the various pieces of clear tape which will be used during the packing procedure as tape will stick to this foil and not on the kit itself. Two layers of bubble wrap will be externally added. A thick double flute cardboard overall exterior will form a strong and very rigid double box concept. Final layer of thick brown wrapping paper completes my packing procedure. It is time consuming and demands attention to details but is the only way to ensure sa fe arrival to you. Unless stated otherwise, as there are some cases that a specific item maybe present just as an aid for the photo session. > USA, Canada, Australia: approximately 2-4 weeks. > Europe: approximately 1-2 weeks. Since I have personally prepared the package I can judge of its integrity and so if I advise you to finally accept it I take full responsibility of the integrity of its contents and value. Rest assured that superficial dents and scratches even of 3/8 of an inch depth cannot do damage to my multilayered packaging procedure and you can right away accept your package if the damage is limited to only that extent.
